Watching my weight

I just checked my weight; and, it's 64 kilos.

Last year, I think I had weighed almost about 80 kilos already.  Due to my illness, I seldom got good night sleep and lost my appetite.  In the middle of the night, I woke up due to headache.  And, eating, especially meat, had been very excruciating experience.

Now, that my appetite is back, I have to eat more and regain the lost kilos.

Another hospitali-cation

I was out of the hospital and just waiting for the results of the biospy.

Last Monday, we received text message from the ENT about the results.  He wanted to talk to us to discuss the next move.

The next day, wifey and I went to his clinic.  The result was not malignant.  Good!  But, he wanted to confirm by getting another tissue from the deeper part.  We had no choice but to agree just to confirm.  The operation is considered minor; but, it had to be done under general anaesthesia.  So, we spent the rest of the day getting clearances from the HMO, a cardiologist, and I was subjected to Pre-Anesthetic Risk Evaluation and Stratification.

The following day, I was admitted again.  And, the operation was performed the next morning.  I thought, I would be discharged in the afternoon.  But, the doctor informed us that I needed to be observed for 24 hours after the operation.  And, we waited for another day for a total of 3-day hospitali-cation.

Hospitalization instead of vacation

Last Friday, we're supposed to head to Subic Bay Freeport Zone and spend the weekend there with some family members.

However, due to severe headaches for the past weeks, I consulted a neurologist at the St. Luke's Medical Center in Quezon City instead.

The doctor suspected a hematoma in my brain as a delayed result of my bike accident last March 15.  He, then, advised for confinement for diagnostic examinations and, if necessary, operation to remove the hematoma.  So, the Subic trip was off; and, good bye vacation.

The CT Scan result showed no hematoma.  Good!  The doctor's suspicion was wrong.  Thus, the connection to the bike accident was ruled out.

However, it captured a lump in my naso pharynx.  An ENT entered the picture, who endoscopied my nose up to the naso pharynx.  A lump was confirmed.  The next move was biopsy.  And, the result would be out in one week.

Meantime, I requested for discharge; as, I've been confined for 5 days.  It's so boring in the hospital as a patient.
